Here is an interior photo of one of the cabins at Schoenbrunn Village. There are 17 reconstructed buildings presently on their original sites. Included in the buildings, you will find the Meeting House and School. There are several 2 story cabins and one double cabin with a breezeway(The Connor Cabin), which is home to Doctor Roberts and his 4 girls during the Trade Fair. Presently, all 11 cabins are reserved during the Trade Fair for Vendor's and re enactors, with 2 of the 4 Indian cabins still open. These are very primitive and are the first ones the public comes to upon entering the Village.
The Meeting House will host games and activities for children during the Trade Fair as well as hosting the Colonial Dinner Saturday night. It will also be where Parson John will hold his Sunday sermon.
Browsing the grounds, you will fine fine 18th century pottery, hand made trade silver, hand woven blankets and yarns, hand crafted 18th century leather goods, clothing, hand forged iron items, and so much more. All of these items are presented to you by artisans in correct 18th century dress. You will also be able to see 18th century military and militia units as well as Eastern Woodland Indians.
Please put our Trade Fair on your calendar for the 3rd. weekend this October. You will not be disappointed.
